Each team hit about as well as the other. The difference was the lack of Skateland's defense. Their third baseman must have had at least 8 errors. The game started with the Kren beating out an infield single by at least a step (no exaggeration), only to be called out by the umpire that has trouble refraining from conversation with players while the ball is in play. Back from his short retirement, Matt DeNoyer went 5 for 5, staying perfect from the plate in 2000. Not sure if Skateland scored 8 or 11 runs.
